What is the timeline for a custom banner?
Banners are created in order of event date.Â
You'll receive design options the same week that I paint yours.  Set your “needed by” date for at least 7 days before your event. That’s when your banner should arrive (or be ready for pickup), giving you a stress-free buffer!
For example, if your event is on February 8, please enter February 1.
I have you enter the date as 7-days before because it allows room for any shipping delays that may occur.
How do you recommend hanging the banner?
I’ve found that plain blue painter’s tape works great! My favorite is the Duck Brand Clean Release Painter's Tape. Just roll a piece and stick it to the back of each corner of the banner.
Other great options are command strips and push pins.
If you are hanging it in an unconventional place, let me know and I can add grommets for you. This step lets your banner shine as an intentional backdrop of this moment that will one day be a sweet memory.
For the best display, I recommend placing your banner on a solid surface like a wall, rather than a translucent one like a window, to give it a polished and put-together look.
For extra fun, add streamers below or balloons on either side!
Can I see the design of my custom banner before it's painted?
Absolutely! I’ll create 4 design drafts based on the details of your celebration. You get to choose the one you love most, making sure your banner is perfect for the occasion!
Can you make character banners?
I don’t create banners with licensed or trademarked characters, but I can design something inspired by the aesthetic or color scheme of a show or movie.
I am local. Can I do porch pick up instead of shipping?
Yes, of course! If you are able to pick up your banner in Terre Haute, Indiana, use code "LOCAL" at checkout to indicate you would rather do porch pick up than shipping. It will save you the shipping fee.
Please note: if you use this code and are not local, your order will be cancelled.
How do I get started painting banners?
Great question! I actually put all my tips, step-by-step instructions, and business advice into my ebook, A Guide to Banner Painting for Beginners. It’s perfect if you want to learn the whole process and get started with confidence!
How do you design your banners?
I always start by designing my banners digitally using Canva and Procreate. That way I can feel confident about the layout before painting. If you host parties often and enjoy DIY party decor or have your own banner biz, I offer templates that make designing easier and faster. They’re perfect for makers who want to save time and keep things creative!
